15343-DemonNoSupported
3-Demon is a surreal, wireframe-3D Pacman clone in which you have to move through a maze, collect points and occasionally take items which will allow you to kill enemy monsters (ghosts) instead of them killing you. After having cleaned the level of a certain percentage of points, you have the option to move to another level immediately by pressing the down key, where the monsters are smarter and move faster.
3-demon
2131443DCubeNoUnknown
This 3D cube puzzle features smooth 3D animation. Works just like the real thing.
3dcube

42192Ack-Ack AttackNoUnknown
The object of the game is to destroy as many helicopters and paratroopers as possible. If a paratrooper lands on the ground he may still be hit by flying debris, another paratrooper free-falling on top of him or by your gravity-bound shells.
ack-ack-attack
5631Air TraxNoUnknown
This is an interesting game, but it is very difficult. You are working as an air traffic controler. You must control multiple airplanes (of different types and speeds) and have them land before running out of fuel and without any collisions. It would be much easier if the user did not have to remember all the 3 letter / number commands, but, what can you expect from 1983...
air-trax
67142AladdinNoSupported
Based on the Disney movie; converted from the 16-bit console arcade game (it is the most close to the Sega Genesis version).

Just finish the levels to save your princess Jasmine with the help from your friends (Abu and Genie). Collect apples to use as throwing weapons to defeat your enemies, and collect "genie icons" to give yourself more chances during the bonus rounds.
aladdinCheat mode: press ~ after starting the game (at the screen where the items are described). Proceed for two more screens and press [Backspace] at the screen with the magic lamp to enable cheat mode. Then, press one of the following keys during game play to activate the corresponding cheat function:Disney games
75141Alien AttackNoUnknown
You're the only one left to defend the planet in this clone of Space Invaders.
alien-attack
87134Alien CarnageNoSupported
Earth is on the verge of a take-over by evil aliens intent on turning humans into mindless zombies to use as slaves in their conquest of the universe. Guide Harry through the many levels in search of the hostages held by the aliens. Blow away zombies and aliens while avoiding death traps.
alien-carnageFull health and power: Pressing the B-I-G keys at the same time will give you full health and jetpack power.
9641Alley CatNoSupported
You're a cat and you have to do the usual "cat things" to survive and get the female feline. Eat fish out of the fish bowl, catch mice, and steal milk from sleeping dogs are some of the things you have to do to survive in this surreal masterpiece from Bill Williams.
alley-cat
11892AmadoNoUnknown
Amado is a creative mind teasing game. It is not only challenging and stimulating, it exercises the brain as well.

Each box of the pattern is red, blue, or yellow. You will be able to move the box cursor to the adjacent box either vertically or horizontally using arrow keys.
amado
129134Ancients I: The DeathwatchNoSupported
Ancients is a fantasy role-playing adventure game, and you'll need to explore many lands and fight many monsters along the way. In Ancients, you control a party of four explorers who journey together and must work as a team to ward off the many inhabitants of the dungeons. The graphics are 256-color VGA, with a friendly interface that works with either the keyboard or mouse.
ancients-i-the-deathwatch
13641Antarctic AdventureNoUnknownAntarctic Adventure is a very cute and funny game from Konami starring Pentarou the Penguin (who later appears in Konami's Parodius) who must journey across the Antarctic to deliver his fiancé. The game is played from pseudo 3D, a behind-the-Penguin perspective, as you watch Pentarou jump over pits and avoid walruses and other Antarctic obstacles. First released for the Colecovision, the game is a faithful translation of Konami's hit arcade game of the same name that was only released in Japan. The gameplay is simple, but it's the simple charm that will keep you hooked, just as in many other Konami classics. Two thumbs up!

Note: the game was never made for PC. This download is the MSX version recompiled to work in DOS with no emulator required, thanks to Friends, one of the more prolific MSX crackers groups.
antarctic-adventure
14651AntixNoSupported
This game is pretty addictive (for its time). It runs a bit too fast though.
antix
154124AquanoidNoUnknown
A shareware, run-of-the-mill Arkanoid clone. Seems to share some of the graphics as well.
aquanoidEnter these codes to jump to different levels:
1613134Argo CheckersNoUnknown
A translation of classic checkers. You jump over the opponent's buttons, and the last one standing wins. This game doesn't posses the option of playing against the computer, only player vs. player (unless you register to get the full version).
argo-checkers
172181Assault WingYesUnknown
Assault Wing is a fast paced multiplayer action game. Two or more players fly their ships in cave-like two-dimensional arenas and shoot each other. There are ten different ships to choose from, a bunch of arenas to play in, and most importantly, dozens of unique weapons to blast your friend away with. The arenas feature slippery, flammable and indestructible surfaces, stationary flamethrowers, beautiful parallax scrolling backgrounds, and collectible bonuses that can boost your ship into a deadly war machine.

Assault Wing can run in several screenmodes from 640x480 down to 320x240. You will need at least a 486 PC with a 50 MHz processor, 8 MB memory, and a VBE 2.0 compatible video card (all modern ones will do). In case your video card is old and doesn't have VBE 2.0, try using Display Doctor of Scitech. The game can also produce sound effects through a standard Sound Blaster and possibly even a Gravis Ultrasound. There is a theoretical support for playing over a modem connection, but it is practically unusable. The game was developed to be played in plain DOS but it is known to run even in Windows 98's DOS Shell.
assault-wing
185144AstroFireNoUnknown
AstroFire is basically a run-of-the-mill Asteroids clone, but with a few twists: instead of asteroids you've got monsters of sorts to shoot at, there are power ups (two kinds of weapons) and shields (which means a single blow doesn't kill you), and you can also set whether or not you want momentum enabled, which gives an interesting edge to the game.
astrofire
19491BananoidNoSupported
Bananoid is a freeware Arkanoid clone, which runs on a tweaked VGA mode the author likes to call 360x240 MCGA. It features seven levels that span two screens for a total resolution of 544x240, according to the manual.
bananoid
204144Bat 'n BallNoUnknown
Bat 'n Ball is a game that tests your reflexes as you attempt to guard a castle of sorts from a drug-crazed bouncing ball. You have at your disposal a crude but effective bat and (hopefully) nerves of steel.

Your castle is surrounded by a brick wall which quickly crumbles when hit by the malevolent ball. Defend it valiantly, for a hit to the pretty blocks at its core will lose you a life. Stick around untill your opponents lose their castles and you will progress to a new screen - lose all three lives and you have blown your chances.
bat-n-ball
2112142Battle BugsNoSupported
A very unique real-time strategy game. It's only semi-real-time, because it's possible to pause the action at any moment. The player commands 22 different insects in a long campaign (56 missions) against the computer-AI or a human opponent.
battle-bugs
2212142Battle Isle 2200NoSupported
After a long space flight, you arrive on the planet of Chromos and must save the planet's civilization from the Titan-net Empire. Titan-net and its allies have begun a devastating final campaign against all Drullian forces. You command your forces with the computer "military operations console", nicknamed the MilOp for short.

Played on a futuristic world where brilliant graphics put your right in the action, you execute grand strategies and watch each battle played out instantly in 3D animations.
battle-isle-2200
2311144BattleStarNoUnknown
A true arcade type game featuring VGA vector and bitmapped graphics. Full SoundBlaster sound track and digitized sound effects.
battlestar
2410135BC RacersNoSupported
A fun prehistoric racing game that was also released on many console systems, e.g. 3DO and Megadrive. The storyline is as simple as the gameplay: millionaire caveman Millstone Rockafella has arranged a formula BC contest with a Ultimate Boulderdash Bike as the prize. A host of bizarre characters have entered in pairs - one driving, one deploying weapons from the side-car - in a wacky race across eight circuits ranging from a 'jungle rumble' to the hellish 'volcano dash'.

There are four skill settings and they make a significant difference in game, with 'easy level' loop tracks suddenly spawning all sorts of dog-leg corners and chicanes on harder difficulty settings. Other than that, it's all very straightforward with no power-ups or unusual hazards - apart from bridges and leaps.

Besides one-player mode, you have a choice of competing against a second player alone or with all the racers included. Getting down to gameplay, the first minutes you need to get used to the steering which reacts much stronger than in kart games. The first stage is easy and just a warm-up.

The second one features a race at night as extra difficulty. There's a light spot in front of you, in the area of your front lamp, but the view is much worse than in the first stage. Upcoming stages feature bridges and ramps - too bad if you miss them - and even snow. After eight stages, the settings repeat but with new courses. This way, you get 32 levels in all.

The higher levels have quite interesting course lay-outs (in contrast to the rather simple first eight levels) with narrow passages and even narrower short-cuts. As they get very difficult later on, it should be enough to keep you occupied for a while. Even more in split-screen two-player-mode, of course, which harks back to the days of Epyx's Pitstop, with very good graphics detail that isn't very pixellated. Overall, if you enjoy Wacky Wheels or other kart racing games, you'll enjoy BC Racers.

This game was released as freeware in 1995.
bc-racers
26365Beyond the TitanicNoSupported
As the game begins you find yourself standing on board the Titanic, on her maiden voyage. Of course, that particular voyage was never completed! Your goal is to survive and somehow get back to your home in the United States.

Most of your time will be spent solving numerous problems and dangers that arise, like starvation and drowning. If you've played any of Infocom's famous text games you will notice that Beyond the Titanic is quite similar to Zork and Planetfall.

This game was written when most computers ran games directly from floppy disks, and weren't installed to a hard drive. Hence most of the instructions refer to floppy disks and whatnot. You can just unpack this zip file and copy all the files to a fresh directory on your hard drive, and it will play fine. However, you need a floppy disk to save your games to. You can also play the game directly from a floppy disk.

This game was deleted from Apogee's product line quite some time ago, and it was re-released in March 1998 as freeware. However, the ability to recompile the program to remove the shareware references was no longer available, hence the program still says it can be registered. It can not.
beyond-the-titanic
2710152Big Red RacingNoSupported
A diverse arcade racing game with 16 different vehicles (not just cars, but also boats, trucks, spacecraft, and helicopters) to race. There are 24 circuits across 7 distinct terrains such as dirt, inner city and a futuristic sci-fi setting. Multiplayer games can be split-screen, modem or network based. In addition to a yoof-style soundtrack, audio commentary is on offer. The appearance of your vehicle can be customised and the action viewed from multiple camera angles.
big-red-racing
287134Bio MenaceNoSupported
Bio Menace is a typical yet rather cute platform game from Apogee. Basically the Earth is invaded by aliens, and you're supposed to stop them. The game is quite smooth and very fun to play, indeed a typical shareware from Apogee.
bio-menaceTry out some of the secret weapon attacks hidden in the game:
29375The Black CauldronNoSupported
An adventure based on the Disney cartoon The Black Cauldron. You are Taran, assistant Pig keeper, living in Caer Dalben. Soon you'll notice that your pig HenWen has magical powers... The Evil Horned King want that pig so that he can locate the black cauldron and rule the world. You must stop him.
the-black-cauldronDisney games
309154Black Star: Agent of JusticeNoUnknown
You're Blackstar in this game, in which you must solve puzzling murders. There are two episodes in the shareware series.
black-star-agent-of-justice
325121Blocks from HellNoUnknown
Blocks from Hell is a well-done (and small in size!) clone of the classic game Tetris.
blocks-from-hell
342132BodyBlowsYesSupported
The PC port of a Street Fighter clone on Amiga. Fight guys, use special maneuvers, win tournaments.
bodyblows
